DALLAS — The manager of a Mexican cumbia band, Los Yaguaru de Angel Venegas, may proceed with certain unfair competition, cancelation of trademark and infringement claims against a newer group that is performing under the original’s name and logo. Family members are involved, and the manager was able to show that his brother obtained the trademark by fraud when he told the Patent and Trademark Office that the group’s name is based on his stage name, not his brother’s.
