WASHINGTON — Former employees of the U.S. Institute of Peace are suing Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) in federal court for shutting the organization down. The former employees say DOGE and the FBI broke into their office, took over the institute's $500 million building, commandeered its $55 million annual budget and fired nearly all employees and contractors, even those working in active war zones abroad.
