WAUKESHA, Wis. — A Wisconsin appeals court affirmed the trial court’s decision to join consolidated prosecutions that resulted in the conviction of a man for two counts of burglary and sending threats of physical harm electronically. After his wife identified him to police from surveillance footage of his burglary, thanks to distinct features and shoes she had bought him, he sent her threatening messages and was charged for that as well. Joinder stands because the crime of threatening arose from the investigation of the burglaries.
