SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A construction company is suing its subcontractor for breaching its contract by “negligently and recklessly” causing millions of dollars in property damage to the Redding Courthouse in Shasta County, California. The construction company accuses the subcontractor of failing to check that the courthouse’s water supply system was watertight before turning it on, resulting in water leaking onto multiple floors and causing $4.7 million in damages.
